Caroline Sunshine Joins One School’s Fight To Stand Up To Cancer

 students will present “Up 2 U!” – a program inspired by members of the who are battling cancer, including teachers and an eighth-grader diagnosed with a rare form of cancer when he was 11 years old.

Audiences will be entertained and inspired by 250 student and staff performers to give to the cure, fight with courage and never give up, pray and trust God, care and be there for someone and stand strong together, said program organizers.

Special celebrity guests include Caroline Sunshine from The Disney ’s “” series and cancer survivor , best known for her role as Elizabeth on the television program “.”

Other participants include Hollywood’s Stand Up 2 Cancer organization, NEGU/, American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation, and Mission Viejo High School football players and cheerleaders.

The performance will be held 7-8 p.m. Friday at Mission Viejo High School, 25025 Chrisanta Drive, Mission Viejo.

In addition to The BIG SHOW “Up 2 U!”, 60 students will sing and perform a flash mob dance in support of Stand Up 2 Cancer at The Shops at Mission Viejo 7-7:15 p.m. Thursday.

MVCS students have been Standing Up to Cancer through various activities throughout the school year. Every class has adopted and is caring for one of 15 MVCS cancer families through several outreach programs within their community. They promote cancer awareness through monthly activities that give proceeds to Stand Up 2 Cancer. The school will present the money raised by the students to Stand Up 2 Cancer, the Entertainment Industry Foundation’s organization supporting groundbreaking cancer research.
